Terms of use

1. Who we are. This website is operated by Catapult Commodities, a trade name. In these terms, the “Catapult Commodities Group” includes Catapult Commodities and all entities that directly or indirectly own, control, manage or operate its business, together with their respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives. Catapult Commodities is the public-facing identity for all of it.

2. Using this site. By using this site or reading anything published on it, you accept these terms and our disclaimer, which applies to the website and to all associated research, reports, publications, market commentary, data and other materials, however they are distributed. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

3. Information and research only. Everything we publish is provided for general informational and research purposes only. Nothing we publish constitutes investment, trading, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation or offer to transact. We prepare our work from sources we consider reliable, but we make no representation or warranty as to its accuracy, completeness, reliability or timeliness. Information, prices, analysis and opinions may change without notice. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on and for obtaining professional advice before making a commercial or financial decision. The site and its content are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4. Using our content. You may download, share, reproduce and republish content that Catapult Commodities has created, including for commercial purposes, provided that:

• Catapult Commodities is clearly credited as the author;
• the original source is identified, with a link to it where the medium allows; and
• the material is not altered in a way that misleads, or presented so as to change its meaning.

5. What you may not do. You may not attribute to Catapult Commodities anything it did not publish, misrepresent what our content says, or state or imply that Catapult Commodities endorses you, your organization, your product or your position. You may not use our name, wordmark or trademarks except as plain attribution under section 4. You may not interfere with the site or try to gain unauthorized access to it.

6. Third-party content. Our work cites market data, research, trademarks and other materials owned by others. Those remain the property of their owners and stay subject to their own licence terms and restrictions. The permission in section 4 covers only content created by Catapult Commodities. It does not extend to third-party data, charts, text or trademarks appearing in or alongside our content, and it does not grant you any licence to them. Links to other websites are for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.

7. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither Catapult Commodities nor any entity or person comprising the Catapult Commodities Group shall be liable for any loss, damage, cost, expense or claim of any nature arising from access to, use of or reliance upon this website, our publications or any other materials, including any indirect, incidental, consequential or economic loss, loss of profit or loss of opportunity, whether in contract, tort or otherwise.

8. Changes to the site and to future services. We may change, suspend or withdraw the site, any publication or any part of either at any time. We may add services, products or paid subscriptions in future, which may carry their own terms; nothing in these terms commits us to offering any particular service, product or subscription, or to continuing one we have offered.

9. Privacy. Our privacy policy explains what personal information we collect and how we handle it.

10. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, subject to any mandatory law of your own jurisdiction that cannot be excluded. The courts of Alberta have jurisdiction, subject to those same mandatory laws.

11. Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
